“We want to see people connected to God”

In the year of 2014, Bernita was taking a nap and woke up to a scream. She remembers this day clearly. This is how the ministry was birthed. Immediately after Bernita heard the scream she received a phone call from her 14 year old daughter, Maria. Maria stated, “I am going to do it. I am going to end my life…”

For many years Alex and Bernita were hurting over there suicidal, self harming daughter, Maria and a drug addicted son, Joey.

Alex and Bernita wanted to figure out how to help their suffering children. One day Bernita asked her other daughter, Alisia to help her research on how to help Maria from all the suicide and self harm. The research then began into a support group. It wasn’t just Maria and Joey they were suppose to help, God wanted them to help other children who were suffering as well.

In 2015 the family started a support group for youth. A couple years later they added a support group for adults. For 5 years the family studied and helped many people that were struggling to come to Christ.

One day the Lord spoke to Bernita. He wanted her to shut the support group down. The Lord was calling the family into different directions. He wanted Bernita to start with becoming a pastor.

Therefore Bernita said yes to the Lord. She contacted Joan Hunters ministry to become ordained. Bernita and her daughter, Alisia went forth and became ordained ministers at Joan Hunter ministry.

July 2022 - C.T.S Freedom Ministries, team, took a missionary trip to Chiapas, Mexico, where Alex Velazquez is from.

When we were down there we fell in love with the people right away. God called us specifically to one of the communities. The people in this community were so kind to us and tried to help us all that they could. They have so much hunger for Jesus. But there is no one to spirituality/physically feed them.

On one of our revival nights during our trip in Chiapas the Lord surprised us. He called a man that will be the new Pastor in this small community. We need your help with donations, and Prayers so we are able to build a church home, plant gardens, and clothe God's people.

She is a former missionary. She is a prayer warrior that has a soft spot in her heart for children.

She is also known as the Tia of the church.

He is faithful to the ministry compassionate, kind and has a love for the homeless.

Carlos Rojas

Carlos is very talented with his hands.God gave him a gift to make Hispanic bread. He has a love for the orphans in Guatemala. One day he plans to become a Pastor.
